Our Services
We raise chicken for eggs and meat. It supports both our livelihoods and serves as a nutritional source for our families and children.
We farm tomatoes and watermelons which are used almost every day in our community, so we are serving an existing need.
We have a live garden with various greens which are an every day thing in our meals, so we sell them to our communities and farmers’ market.
About Us
We are a voluntary community organization based in Simiyu - just 1 hour away from the world's best national park, the Serengeti National Park
As a fully registered community-based organization (CBO), Simiyu and Serengeti Development Society (SSDS), utilizes the collective manpower of its members, to enhance productivity that aims at improving livelihoods of the members and moving them from extreme poverty and mulnutrition of their children.
Instead of sitting down and complain, we said let us do something with the knowledge and expertise we have. We have diversified our effort to include chicken, tomatoes, watermelons, and green vegetables – all of which are delicacies in our communities, so it is easy to get a market.
